April received her Juris Doctor degree in 2002 from Chicago-Kent College of Law and later
received her Master of Laws in 2006 from the University of Houston with a focus on International
Law. Fluent in Tagalog (Filipino) and conversant in Spanish, April has advocated for families in
various walks of life for over 20 years in matters such as Immigration, Family Law, Probate,
Guardianship, and Estate Planning. While she currently focuses her practice primarily on Family
Law, her experience, skills, and knowledge in other areas of law enables her to assist families
throughout the legal process as well as prepare and plan after the family matter has concluded.
April has also served as a volunteer mediator with the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center
and as pro bono lawyer with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program. When not practicing law,
April enjoys spending time with her family.
